These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Youmei ("Service"), operated by Pouya Panahzadeh, Kieler Straße 3, Hamburg, Germany ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Youmei (minimum age for GDPR consent in Germany). Users under 18 should have parental consent. By using the Service, you confirm you meet these requirements.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time in your account settings.
As an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@youmei.eu within 14 days. If you have already used the service during the withdrawal period, we may charge a proportional amount for the service provided.
You retain full ownership of all journal entries and content you create in Youmei. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service (including sending entries to OpenAI for AI processing). We do not sell, share, or use your journal content for advertising.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Youmei and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs. AI responses are generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by German law. For consumers in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence also apply. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hamburg, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
